Sir Lenny Henry is a comedian, actor, singer, writer and TV presenter from Dudley, Worcester. He is well known for co-founding the charity Comic Relief, as well as his comedy work, and on the children's television programme Tiswas, sitcom Chef! and The Magicians.
Henry first started his career in 1975, and became popular in the 1980s where he established a career as a stand-up comedy performer and character comedian. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s he appeared in various television shows, including Live At The Apollo, Hope and Glory, In Dreams, The Syndicate, and Broadchurch. Following the publication of his memoir in October 2019, Lenny Henry will embark on a tour of the same name: The Who Am I Again? Tour, across the UK in October and November.
