Patrick Kielty is a comedian and TV presenter from Dundrum, Northern Ireland.
His big break came in the mid-1990s, where he performed on Comic Relief’s St Patrick’s Day Special, going on to forge an exceptionally successful career for himself. His first two stand-up titles went triple platinum, earning him his own BBC One chat show, Patrick Kielty Almost Live, and becoming a true household name when he began presenting Fame Academy in 2002. Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s most successful exports in comedy, he has most recently transitioned into radio, presenting on BBC Radio 2 and on shows in the USA.
