See Spaces/Time Changes, is the debut single release from Teeth. An East London dance act who may just be a little special. Using pulsating rave beats, euphoric synth melodies and sci-fi vocals they create a dazzling wall of electronic noise.
This two track medley blasts through your ear drums with the subtlety of a lump hammer, yet the appreciation of timing and rhythm constructs a sound, which stripped back to its raw elements, is as intricately put together as a Swiss watch.
Huge, rave inspired, danceable beats, sublime vocals laced with effects and superb production all help to provide a wonderful danceable sound that has already gained the admiration of Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw and Huw Stephens. The chaotic medley of dance music on offer by this release, impresses, shocks and wows.
Teeth, who are Ximon Tayki, Simon Whybray and Veronica So, are another group questioning the credentials of modern dance music and pushing the boundaries that the genres commercial success has created.
Located somewhere between Skinny Puppy and Prodigy, with a little Acid House chucked in for good measure, See Spaces is an awesome rave up and Time Changes, a massive blaze of electronic beats. Which can only be described as immense!
Teeth are playing live at Lexington on August 9th, Camp Basement on August 14th and at Offset Festival on September 4th.
