It was one of the band’s liveliest and most vibrant performances to date – and now the Foo Fighter’s epic show at the iTunes festival is available to stream on demand, in full and uncensored, for free.
The iTunes festival is a month-long series of gigs held in Camden, where a variety of acts play with a different headliner each night. The Foo Fighters undoubtedly put in one of the best performances so far though, storming the venue on July 11th to play ‘the show of all shows’. And if you missed it, you can now view it for free on iTunes.
In one of the longest and strongest sets the festival has seen, singer Dave Grohl went all out to make the show one to remember. The frontman first furiously broke up a brawl by stopping mid-song and crazily shouting at the offender, demanding that he ‘get the fuck out’ of his show. But as if that wasn’t enough to please the crazed fans in the crowd, Grohl decided to jump into the crowd, run to the bar and sing from on top of it – sending fans wild.
And following suit from the Foo’s star-studded shows at Milton Keynes Bowl at the start of the month, the legendary Lemmy made a guest appearance to play ‘Shake Your Blood’, a track from Grohl’s 2003 side-project album ‘Probot’ which Lemmy co-wrote. Following Lemmy, Brian May and Roger Taylor also entered the stage to help perform Queen’s ‘Tie Your Mother Down’. And talking about star-studded, the American band showed off their celebrity following as Seasick Steve, the whole of Metallica and even the legendary guitar god Jimmy Page watched the brilliant performance from the crowd.
