Dave Grohl Releases Ambitious New Project 'Play'

Thursday, 09 August 2018 Written by Helen Payne

To get good at something, you have to practice.

Dave Grohl’s new 'Play' project explores exactly that. Across an extended instrumental track, documentary and online interactive element, the Foo Fighters frontman celebrates the challenges and rewards that come with dedicating oneself to music.

The documentary section covers the drive and love that comes with playing an instrument, before moving into an ambitious 23 minute track featuring seven instruments, each recorded live by Grohl.

‘Play’ will also receive a limited vinyl release on September 28. Head below to watch the full project and be inspired.
