The nominations for this year's Brit awards have been announced.
Anne-Marie, Florence and the Machine, Jess Glynne, Jorja Smith and Lily Allen are up for British Female Solo Artist, while nominated for British Male Solo Artist are Aphex Twin, Craig David, George Ezra, Giggs and Sam Smith. The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Little Mix and Years & Years are all in the running for British Group.
Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Christine and the Queens, and Janelle Monáe are all competing for International Female Solo Artist, with Drake, Eminem, Kamasi Washington, Shawn Mendes and Travis Scott up for International Male Solo Artist. Brockhampton, the Carters, First Aid Kit, Nile Rodgers and Chic, and Twenty One Pilots are all nominated for best International Group.
Competing for the Mastercard British Album Of The Year are the 1975 - 'A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships', Anne-Marie - 'Speak Your Mind', Florence and the Machine - 'High As Hope', George Ezra - 'Staying At Tamara's', and Jorja Smith - 'Lost & Found'.
British Breakthrough Act will be between Ella Mai, IDLES, Jorja Smith, Mabel and Tom Walker. For the full nominations head here.
The Critics’ Choice Award winner for 2019 was announced in December. Sam Fender saw off competition from Mahalia and Lewis Capaldi to take home the gong, following in the footsteps of previous winners Jorja Smith, Adele, Sam Smith, Emeli Sandé, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, and Rag ’n’ Bone Man.
The Brit awards 2019 will take place at London's O2 Arena on February 20. Tickets are on sale now.
