Bruce Springsteen To Release New Album 'Western Stars' This Summer

Bruce Springsteen will release a new album this summer.
'Western Stars' is due to arrive on June 14 and The Boss explains: “This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements. It's a jewel box of a record." It was inspired by Southern California pop records of the late 1960s and early '70s.
Springsteen reunited with producer Ron Aniello for the record, who previously worked with him on 2014's 'High Hopes' and 2012's 'Wrecking Ball'. Ariello also played bass, keyboard and more on the album. He's one of 20 players who contributed to it, including former E Street Band member David Sancious, multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, and violinist and vocalist Soozie Tyrell. Long-time E Street Band member and Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa provided vocals and did the vocal arrangements for four tracks.
