Belle and Sebastian have announced details of the soundtrack to the forthcoming British film Days Of The Bagnold Summer.

Led by the sunny first single Sister Buddha, which comes with a video viewable below, the album is set to arrive on September 13 through Matador Records and contains 11 new Belle and Sebastian songs, as well as newly recorded versions of Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying and I Know Where The Summer Goes.

The directorial debut of Simon Bird — whose previous work includes the Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner — is based on Joff Winterhart's 2012 graphic novel and is set for release in 2020. It features BAFTA-winning actress Monica Dolan, Earl Cave, Rob Brydon, Alice Lowe, Tamsin Greig, and Elliot Speller-Gillot in a coming-of-age story, which finds a teenage metalhead spending the summer with the person who annoys him most in the world: his mum.

The Scottish indie-pop group have a handful of UK dates in the diary for the summer, alongside a run of festival appearances, starting with their own Boaty Weekender music cruise in August.
