Johnny Marr Releases New Single The Bright Parade

Thursday, 08 August 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Johnny Marr has shared a new track.

His first new material since February’s standalone single Armatopia, The Bright Parade gives all the attention to a repeated guitar riff by placing muffled vocals further down in the mix than we’re used to from the former Smiths guitarist's previous releases.

Marr put out his latest album ‘Call The Comet’ in 2018, and will play Nile Rodgers’ Meltdown Festival tonight (August 8). He's also got two headline shows at Manchester’s Albert Hall in the diary for September.

Johnny Marr Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Sat August 10 2019 - EDINBURGH Princes Street Gardens
Wed September 04 2019 - MANCHESTER Albert Hall
Thu September 05 2019 - MANCHESTER Albert Hall

Coldplay - Everyday Life (Album Review)
Tue 26 Nov 2019
Coldplay’s first record in four years is a double LP, allowing these British world-beaters to experiment more with instrumentals, ditties and their signature attempts at stadium bangers. The result is an occasionally fantastic album that wears its earnestness as brazenly as ever, and which even dabbles directly in politics with mixed results.
