Neil Young And Crazy Horse Announce New Documentary Mountaintop

Monday, 14 October 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Neil Young and Crazy Horse have shared a trailer for their new documentary.

Titled Mountaintop, the film was directed by Bernard Shakey and provides and in-studio look behind the scenes of the creation of 'Colarado', Young's first record with Crazy Horse in seven years.

Joining Young on the follow-up to 2012's 'Psychedelic Pill', out on October 25 through Reprise, is drummer Ralph Molina, bassist Billy Talbot and guitarist Nils Lofgren, stepping in for the retired Frank "Poncho" Sampedro.

The documentary is set to hit select cinemas in North America on October 22 and Europe and South America on November 18. Check out the film's website for further details and take a look at the trailer below. A synopsis states:

"Mountaintop is a raw and extremely unfiltered look at the process of Neil Young with Crazy Horse making their first album in seven years. Witness the laughter, tensions, crusty attitudes and love of a rock and roll band that’s been together for 50 years as they share their passion, first and foremost… for the music."
