King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard Announce Live Concert Film And Album 'Chunky Shrapnel'

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced a live concert film and album.
The music and footage for 'Chunky Shrapnel' was recorded during the Australian band's 2019 European tour. The film will premiere via an online live stream on April 17, with the accompanying record set to follow digitially on April 24. Vocalist and guitarist Stu Mackenzie said:
“John Stewart (director of Chunky Shrapnel) followed us around for a few weeks through Europe. It was fun and funny and wild and weird. Sometimes an inconspicuous fly on the wall, sometimes an intrusive camera man one inch from my face. Always exciting though. Chunky Shrapnel was made for the cinema but as both concerts and films are currently outlawed, it feels poetic to release a concert-film digitally right now."

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard recently rescheduled their upcoming North American tour to the fall due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Prior to this, they are still set to head to Europe and the UK this summer for festival appearances, including a set at Latitude.
