Future Islands have shared the final preview of their forthcoming album.
Following the previously unveiled For Sure, Thrill and Moonlight, Born In A War is a rippling synth-pop number that works with a bouncing bassline and electronic twists. The jubilant track will feature on 'As Long As You Are', the Baltimore natives' sixth studio LP that's set to arrive this Friday (October 9).
The track is accompanied by a moving, intricately animated clip directed by Wayne White. The band said in a statement:
"We first met with Wayne White back in 2014 to discuss collaborating on a music video. We’ve been wanting to work with him since then. We’re stoked that we were finally able to work together on the video for Born In A War. We love the puppets he created and his unique interpretation of the song.”
