Korn (pictured) have announced a summer US tour with Evanescence.
The two bands will team up for 18 dates, with special guest opening acts set to be revealed in due course. The trek will kick off on August 16 in Denver and wrap up with a three-day run of shows in Washington, culminating in Ridgefield on September 16. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on April 4.
Korn will perform material from their 2022 album, 'Requiem', while Evanescence will be supporting their 2021 LP, 'The Bitter Truth'. Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis said:
"We’re looking forward to going on tour this summer and bringing our friends, Evanescence, out. Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage watching the whole set and rocking out. We’re gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can’t wait to see you there."
Amy Lee of Evanescence added: "I fell hard into Korn’s music in high school. It was an inspiration during the formation of my own band. The chances we’ve had to play together over the years are special, a part of our history. They remain one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. It’s an honor and a thrill to go out with our friends again, our first full tour together since ‘07. We’re all really looking forward to this."
Korn will also appear at a number of European festivals this summer, including Download in the UK. Evanescence, meanwhile, will return to Europe and the UK in November alongside Within Temptation for rescheduled co-headline dates on their Worlds Collide Tour.
