Twin Atlantic Tease 'Meltdown' LP With New Single Get Out

Twin Atlantic have released a new single, Get Out.
The anthemic, guitar-driven rocker marks the fourth preview of the Scottish quartet's new album, 'Meltdown', due out on digitally on August 9, with physical formats following on September 13 via the band's own Staple Diet Records.
Vocalist Sam McTrusty said: "Get Out was one of the first out and out rock songs we had written for years. It was the real catalyst for the whole album to be honest.
"It came together so naturally and made us realise that it was definitely the right time to revisit that sound. It feels like a real anthem and hopefully people can take away the positive message behind the inspiration for the song. A wake-up moment. Act now, think later. Get out of your own way."
Produced by McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae, with mixing by long-time collaborator Romesh Dodangoda, the follow-up to 2022's 'Transparency' will also include the previously shared World Class Entertainment, Asleep and Stuck In A Car With You.
Commenting on the recording process, McTrusty continued: "Over the last 18 months we have been relentlessly obsessing over the making of a new album. We built two studios to have our own freedom and space to dig deeper into the essence of our band. That freedom evolved into engineering and producing the album ourselves. Zero outside influences. What we've got in the end is something we are so proud of and feels like our best work yet.
"The time felt right to revisit our roots and dive back into the big chorus’s and massive guitars that shaped our band’s early years, but obviously having lived life and toured the world since then we found an evolution of that sound."
Twin Atlantic will play shows in Aberdeen and Glasgow in May. They also have a UK tour scheduled for November. Tickets are on sale now.
