Johnny Marr has announced a new 22-track live album.
Originally a Record Store Day exclusive, 'Look Out Live!' will receive a full release through BMG on September 19. It captures the singer-songwriter and former Smiths guitarist's sold‑out performance at London's Eventim Apollo during his 2024 Spirit Power Tour, which celebrated a decade of solo hits.
The tracklist features favourites like Hi Hello, Easy Money, and Somewhere, alongside timeless Smiths tracks such as This Charming Man, How Soon Is Now?, and Bigmouth Strikes Again. Other highlights include a cover of Iggy Pop's The Passenger, plus duets with special guest Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys on renditions of David Bowie's Rebel Rebel, and Electronic's Getting Away With It, a nod to Marr and Tennant's debut collaboration on the 1989 single. Marr recently collaborated with Franz Ferdinand on their single Build It Up, and made a surprise appearance with The The's Matt Johnson at the inaugural Forever Now festival in Milton Keynes. Next up, he'll tour North America in September and Europe in October and November. Tickets are on sale now.
He released his most recent studio album, 'Fever Dreams Pt 1-4', in 2022. More recently, a deluxe edition of 'Boomslang', originally released by Johnny Marr + The Healers in 2003, dropped last year, following the 2023 compilation 'Spirit Power: The Best of Johnny Marr'.
