Foo Fighters have surprise released a new live EP.
'Are Playing Where ??? Vol. 1' features the songs Alone + Easy Target, Exhausted, Wattershed, Weenie Beenie, White Limo and Winnebago, and was recorded during the rock band's surprise US club shows in September.
Available exclusively on Bandcamp, proceeds from the release will support loca charities helping to combat food insecurity in San Luis Obispo, Santa Ana, Washington D.C., and New Haven, where the shows were held.
At the band's first show, frontman Dave Grohl officially introduced new drummer Ilan Rubin, best known for his work with Nine Inch Nails. Rubin replaces Josh Freese, who joined the Foo Fighters in 2023 following the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins, but departed earlier this year.
Foo Fighters released their most recent studio album, and first without Hawkins, 'But Here We Are', in 2023. They returned with Today's Song, their first new music in nearly two years, in July.
They'll play shows in Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and Mexico in the coming weeks, including a headline set at Corona Capital festival in Mexico City in November. Tickets are on sale now.
