Bonnie "Prince" Billy has announced a new album.

The Kentucky artist, real name Will Oldham, will release 'We Are Together Again' through Domino/No Quarter on March 6, following up last year's 'The Purple Bird'.He co-produced it with Jim Marlowe, who also engineered it.

Oldham began working on it before 'The Purple Bird' and completed it last spring at End Of An Ear Studios in Louisville with his touring musicians Jacob Duncan (flute, saxophone) and Thomas Deakin (clarinet, whistle, baritone electric guitar, accordion, cornet), as well as Ryder McNair, Chris Bush, Ned Oldham and Erin Hill. Oldham said:

"This record was made closer to the Ohio River than any I’ve been involved with since 1993’s Palace Brothers There Is No-One What Will Take Care of You. Louisville’s current-and-past vital musical community is highlighted on every song. Catherine Irwin, who sang on the BPB release Ease Down the Road, is back here on “Hey Little” and “Vietnam Sunshine”. Lacey Guthrie, Tory Fisher and Katie Peabody, the three front women of the band Duchess, sing together on the opening and closing songs, parallel odes to the beast that is fear."

As a preview, the singer-songwriter has shared the album's first single, They Keep Trying To Find You, a bare bones folk song that unfurls across gentle acoustic guitar. Head below to view the song's video, which was choreographed and directed by Abi Elliott, and produced by Jake Forman.

Oldham has also announced an out-store show at St Giles' Church in Camberwell, London on January 26. Tickets are available now with pre-orders of the new record.

Back in December, Oldham contributed a song titled The Autumn Wind (no. 71) to a compilation called 'Passages: Artists in Solidarity with Immigrants, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers', alongside other artists such as Alan Sparhawk and Tim Heidecker.

'We Are Together Again' tracklist:

5. (Everybody’s Got a) Friend Named Joe
