McAlmont and Butler are an English Britpop and soul rock band hailing from London. Formed in 1994, the duo consists of vocalist David McAlmont and former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler.

The pair would first come together as two people who'd already experienced success in the music industry - Butler as the guitarist in Suede, and McAlmont as one half of the duo Thieves. However, the band’s first run ended prematurely: they split in 1995 before they could even tour their first album.

After seven years of solo career attempts, the guys got back together in 2002 to release their second studio album ‘Bring it Back’, which made Top 20. The pair wrote a third collection but after Butler embarked on a new project, things were put on hold once again.

In 2014, they would make their third comeback, and despite no new music arriving as of yet, the pair are putting out a re-mastered deluxe reissue of 1995’s 'The Sound Of … McAlmont & Butler'. A third album of new material is also in talks - maybe you'll catch a new tune at one of the dates on their December 2015 UK and Ireland tour!
