Starsailor are a British indie rock band from from Wigan, consisting of frontman James Walsh, keyboard-player Barry Westhead, bassist James Stelfox, and drummer Ben Byrne.
Formed in 2000, the band released their debut album, ‘Love Is Here’ in 2001, followed by ‘Silence Is Easy’ in 2003, both of which hit #2 in the UK Albums Chart. ‘On the Outside’, was released in 2005 and ‘All the Plans’ in 2009, before the band disband. They reformed in 2014 and released ‘Greatest Hits: Good Souls’, in 2015. The band are set to release their latest album, ‘All This Life’, in September 1, 2017.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK and USA, including a co-headline tour across the USA with Embrace and have played festival such as Summer in the City and Hope and Glory.
Starsailor will celebrate the 15th anniversary of their sophomore album, 'Silence Is Easy', by playing it in full at three UK shows later this year.

It’s difficult for any band to fashion a long-awaited comeback album that both satisfies existing fans and reboots their sound to fit in with a different musical climate. Fail to evolve and you risk being seen as a creatively bankrupt nostalgia act, change too much and you risk losing the audience who waited patiently. There are many impressive things about ‘All This Life’, Starsailor’s first album since splitting in 2009, but top of that list is the confident way they’ve negotiated such a quandary.
