Noah And The Whale Announced As Special Guests For 'Introducing Glastonbury' Radio Broadcast

Noah and the Whale have been announced as special guests for 'Introducing Glastonbury' - a first ever historic triple-cast across Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music, which kicks of the BBC's extensive coverage of the Glastonbury 2011. Broadcast on Thursday 23 June (8-10pm), live from site, the show will also offer a mass platform to BBC Introducing sourced band Dry the River, who will also perform a number of tracks.

Biffy Clyro To Host Live Interactive Broadcast Of ‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’ Highlights

On June 21st, Biffy Clyro’s official website www.biffyclyro.com will host a unique interactive broadcast of highlights from their upcoming CD/DVD package ‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’. Fans will be able to participate in this one-off virtual event by logging on to Twitter and tweeting the hashtag #biffylive. Each fan will then be added to the swelling online crowd where they can communicate with other attendees by dragging their mouse over another fan – this will then display their live tweets about the event. The broadcast will commence at 7pm BST.

Mike Oldfield to Release Deluxe Edition of ‘Incantations’

Multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield is to re-release his fourth album ‘Incantations’ on 25th July in a special new Deluxe Edition. The album was originally released in 1978 and was Oldfield’s first and only double album. Mike Oldfield has released well over 20 albums during his 40-year career – the most recent being his 2008 album ‘Music of the Spheres’. However, he is probably best-known for his debut, the prog-rock classic ‘Tubular Bells’, which was released in 1973.

Eden Sessions to Curate Evening at London’s Station Sessions Festival Tomorrow

Eden Sessions are to curate an evening of music at tomorrow’s free Station Sessions festival at St Pancras International in London. As previously reported by Stereoboard, Guillemots are to launch the festival - the first of its kind - tonight with a performance at the iconic railway station. Tomorrow’s event will feature the band Crowns from Cornwall and Liverpool’s Thomas J Speight, both of whom will be appearing at the Eden Sessions near St Austell in June and July alongside headliners Brandon Flowers and Flaming Lips.

Basshunter Cleared Of Sexual Assault Charges

Basshunter has been cleared of two sexual assault charges, waged against the Swedish DJ after an incident which occurred in December last year. The ‘Now You’re Gone’ musician (real name Jonas Altberg) was accused of pulling up the dress of a woman in a Kirkcaldy club before slapping her on the bum.

Two Men Arrested For Plotting Murder Of Joss Stone

Two men were arrested in Devon yesterday (June 14th) for plotting to murder British soul singer Joss Stone, according to reports. An article in The Daily Telegraph today claims that two men, aged 30 and 33, were captured by police after being found outside the singer’s home in Devon with rope, swords and a body bag.

Guillemots Set To Launch ‘Station Sessions’ With Free London Concert Tomorrow

Guillemots are confirmed to be performing on the first day of a six-week music festival taking place at London St. Pancras International railway station. The ‘Walk The River’ four-piece will play a free set for commuters tomorrow (June 15th) as part of an innovative arts movement which will see acts performing at the station every day until late July.
