Apple Unveil iCloud Storage Service

Apple have today unveiled their answer to Google and Amazon’s cloud storage systems, the (shockingly titled) ‘iCloud’. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs revealed the service at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco this morning (June 7th), where he announced that Apple would be entering the ring with their own dedicated new storage system.

The Pierces Announce Next Single from New Top 10 Album ‘You & I’

Following news of their fourth album ‘You & I’, which has just charted at Number Four in the UK Albums Chart, New York-based folk-pop duo The Pierces have confirmed details of their next single. ‘It Will Not Be Forgotten’ is due for release on 8th August and is the third track to be taken from ‘You & I’ following recent singles ‘Glorious’ and album opener ‘You’ll Be Mine’. ‘You & I’ was released last week and went straight into the Top 10 at Number Four. The London-born rapper was told by American label bossed to give the rap mogul a guest spot on his upcoming LP in order to raise his stateside profile, however Plan B (real name Ben Drew) is said to have rejected the offer as he felt it would compromise his material.

Overly-sexual pop videos could face restrictions or even be banned from broadcast on television under government plans set to be revealed next week. The scheme is set to attribute music videos with cinema-style 15 or 18 ratings, meaning that certain promos will not allowed to be broadcast until after the watershed at 9pm.

Mr Fogg Releases ‘Moving Parts’ Video from American History X Director Tony Kaye

Oxford-based solo artist Mr Fogg has released the new video for his track ‘Moving Parts’, which is directed by British film director Tony Kaye. The track is taken from Mr Fogg’s debut album of the same name, which was released last year. It follows the release of his previous single ‘Answerphone’. The new video to ‘Moving Parts’ was shot at various locations around Los Angeles, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, and consists entirely of several thousand stop-animated still photographs. The Kooks Confirm Release Date of New Album ‘Junk of the Heart’

Indie rockers The Kooks have revealed details of their forthcoming third album ‘Junk of the Heart’, which is due for release on 12th September through Virgin Records. The Brighton quartet, whose last album ‘Konk’ came out in 2008, are to precede the album’s release with a new single, also entitled ‘Junk of the Heart’, on 28th August. The band recently completed a string of intimate dates in the UK, including a performance at Liverpool Sound City, and are expected to announce a full tour soon.
