Adele & Emeli Sande Tipped To Win Big At The Brit Awards

Betting company Paddy Power have released the latest odds ahead of this year’s BRIT Award ceremony - and they’ve tipped Emeli Sande and Adele to pick up the biggest accolades.
Scottish singing sensation Emeli Sande has been given odds of 1/6 to pick up the British Album award, putting her ahead of rivals Mumford and Sons (who are at 9/2 for ‘Babel’), Alt-J, Plan B, and Paloma Faith. She’s also favourite to win British Female, ahead of the late Amy Winehouse. You can see a full list of odds below.
Soul superstar Adele leads the pack for British single at 1/5 for ‘Skyfall’, the soundtrack to the latest installment in the James Bond series. Adele has also been given a special bet, which sees her at 1/3 to win both a BRIT and an Oscar for the track.
Ben Howard is favourite to pick up the British Male award this year at 2/7, while Mumford and Sons are at 1/3 for British Group - ahead of original favourites One Direction. Singer Rita Ora is expected to win the British Breakthrough gong, and has odds of 5/2.
Frank Ocean - who Chris Brown controversially didn’t applaud at the Grammys earlier this year - is at 1/3 for International Male, while ‘Video Games’ star Lana Del Rey is top of the list for International Female. The Black Keys lead the way in International Group.
As Paddy Power often do, the company has put some rather entertaining bets forward too - you can get odds of 8/1 that a winner will trip over and fall while walking to the stage, and there’s chances of 4/1 that one unlucky winner will suffer a wardrobe malfunction!
The ceremony takes place on Wednesday (February 20th) at 8pm, meaning you’ve got time to place some bets before it airs on ITV. For a full list of odds, check below - and let us know your predictions in the comment section!
