The 1975 and Calvin Harris Each Scoop Two Brit Awards

Both the 1975 and Calvin Harris scooped two Brit awards at the O2 Arena last night.
The indie rock band took home British Group and Mastercard British Album of The Year for 2018’s ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’, while the Scotsman received Best British Producer and British Single for One Kiss, his collaboration with Dua Lipa.
George Ezra was awarded British Male Solo Artist, and Female Solo Artist went to Jorja Smith. The Carters, aka Beyoncé and Jay Z, took home International Group, while Drake and Ariana Grande won International Male and Female Solo Artist.
British Breakthrough Act was won by Tom Walker, British Artist Video Of The Year was taken home by Little Mix for Woman Like Me featuring Nicki Minaj, and Ed Sheeran won the Global Success Award for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, P!nk was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music, and Sam Fender won the previously announced Critic’s Choice Award.
Comedian Jack Whitehall hosted the event for his second year, and performers on the night included Hugh Jackman, Calvin Harris with Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man, George Ezra, Jorja Smith, Jess Glynne with H.E.R, Little Mix with Ms Banks, the 1975, and P!nk, who closed the show with a medley of hits.
