Metallica And San Francisco Symphony S&M² Concert Film Coming To Cinemas In Autumn

Metallica's upcoming S&M 20th anniversary shows with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra will be screened as a concert film in cinemas worldwide on October 9.
The thrash legends have revealed that the film documenting the two concerts will hit 3,000 cinemas for one night only, with tickets for the screenings set to go on sale on August 7. Head here for updates.
This year marks 20 years since Metallica released their 1999 live album and DVD, 'S&M'. The band announced plans for the S&M² celebratory concerts back in the spring, confirming they'll take over the new Chase Centre in San Francisco on September 6 and 8, joined once again by the city's orchestra to perform "select tracks" from the original album, as well as some newly reimagined versions of more recent songs.
Metallica are currently winding down the latest European leg of their Worldwired Tour behind 2016's 'Hardwired... to Self-Destruct'. Following this, they head to Australia and New Zealand in the autumn with Slipknot set to open for them.
