The Cure To Release CURÆTION-25 Concert Film In October

The Cure have announced a second concert film to further document their 40th anniversary celebrations.
CURÆTION-25: From There To Here | From Here To There was captured during the band’s set at the Robert Smith-curated 2018 edition of Meltdown Festival, where they played a song from each of their 13 studio albums in chronological order.
The film will arrive on October 18 through Eagle Vision under the wider umbrella title of 40 LIVE - CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY. The release also includes the previously shared The Cure: Anniversary 1978-2018 Live In Hyde Park London, two DVDs or blu-rays, four CDs comprised of almost nine hours of footage, a 40-page hardback book and digital formats. Director Tim Pope stated:
“I went to rehearsals in a very cramped studio just the day before the show… I knew as the set list unfolded that the only way to show people The Real Cure was to capture not only the grand, epic dimension of their stage show, but also the close, intimate side of this band simply making music together.”
The Cure’s final UK show this summer will be at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on August 16, following which they'll headline Rock En Seine later in the month.
