Gorillaz have shared another single from their upcoming album.
Blending Indian instrumentation, Latin rap and gritty hip hop, The Manifesto features Argentine rap star Trueno and a posthumous verse from the late Detroit-born rapper Proof from American hip hop group D12, a long-time Gorillaz collaborator.
The genre-blurring track runs for seven minutes and marks the second preview of 'The Mountain', due out on March 20 via the Damon Albarn-led band's new label, KONG.
Gorillaz introduced the follow-up to 2023's 'Cracker Island' last month alongside the release of the record's Sparks-assisted lead single, The Happy Dictator. The record also features collaborations with The Smiths' guitarist and songwriter Johnny Marr on four tracks, IDLES, Gruff Rhys, and Yasiin Bey, as well as several posthumous contributions, with appearances from Bobby Womack, Dennis Hopper, Mark E. Smith, and Tony Allen.
Gorillaz will support the LP with The Mountain Tour, calling at arenas across the UK and Ireland from March 20 to April 2, with Trueno supporting at all dates except Manchester and Birmingham. They'll also play a summer show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20, joined by Sparks and Trueno. Tickets are on sale now.
