Gorillaz have announced two intimate UK shows ahead of the spring UK and Ireland leg of The Mountain Tour.
In preparation for the arena trek, which takes its name from their new album, 'The Mountain', due out on March 20 via their new label, KONG, the Damon Albarn-led band will headline Bradford Live on March 13 and 14. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (December 12).
Following the record's release, Gorillaz will perform in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin between March 20 and April 2, with Trueno supporting on all dates except Manchester and Birmingham. They'll also headline a summer show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20, joined by Sparks and Trueno, following a headline slot at Rock For People festival in the Czech Republic. Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
Singles already shared from the follow-up to 2023's 'Cracker Island' include The God Of Lying with Idles, The Manifesto featuring Argentine rapper Trueno and a posthumous verse from the late Detroit-born rapper Proof of hip hop group D12, and The Happy Dictator, a collaboration with Sparks.
'The Mountain' also features collaborations with Johnny Marr on four tracks, as well as contributions from Gruff Rhys and Yasiin Bey, plus posthumous appearances by Bobby Womack, Dennis Hopper, Mark E. Smith, and Tony Allen.
House Of Kong, an exhibition celebrating the 25th anniversary of Gorillaz, will head to Los Angeles early next year, taking over Rolling Greens from February 26 to March 19 after its summer debut at the Copper Box Arena in London.
To mark the occasion, Gorillaz will play two shows at the Hollywood Palladium on February 22 and 23, performing 'The Mountain' in full with surprise guests.
Tickets for House Of Kong are on sale now, with ticket-holders getting priority access to the LA concert tickets, which go on general sale at 9am local time today (December 10).
