Kneecap will play their biggest headline show to date in London next summer.
The Irish rap trio will take over Crystal Palace Park on June 27, with support coming from The Mary Wallopers, Fat Dog, Biig Piig, Gurriers and Madra Salach. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on November 28. They said:
“Back to the belly of the beast for our biggest ever headline show.
"Our last wee venture into London was to beat the government in court...again. This time it'll be even better: 25,000 sound heads in a park together.
"We're delighted to have some of our best mates and best bands around to join us.
"This is one we can't wait for."
The announcement comes partway through the group's UK tour, which continues in Sheffield tonight (November 24). Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
They recently teamed up with Sub Focus for the new single No Comment, which follows their September single Sayōnara with Orbital's Paul Hartnoll and summer track The Recap featuring producer Mozey. Despite the new material though, there's currently no word on a follow-up to their second album, 2024's 'Fine Art'.
Kneecap will conclude the year with two sold-out gigs at Dublin's 3Arena on December 16 and 17. They've also been confirmed for next year's Boomtown Fair in Hampshire, Primavera Barcelona and Primavera Porto.
