Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton will headline London's Hampton Court Palace Festival this summer. Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton tickets go on sale at 12pm (midday) today.
The London singer-songwriter and band — Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher — will perform alongside the renowned American guitarist, singer and songwriter in the Tudor palace's main courtyard on June 18.
Now in its 31st year, the London concert series' 2026 line-up also includes The Stranglers, David Gray, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD), Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Tickets for those shows are on sale here.
Costello, The Imposters and Sexton recently added new dates to their previously announced UK and Ireland tour this summer, with new stops confirmed in York, Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester and Dublin, with the latter forming part of the Live At The Iveagh Gardens concert series.
The UK and Ireland run is sandwhiched in between shows in mainland Europe in early June and mid-July, and will also head to Brighton, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Newcastle and London, where they'll play both the Royal Albert Hall and O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, between June 12 and July 6. The run will also include an appearance at the new State Fayre festival in Chelmsford, Essex on June 27.
Tickets for the recently added new dates go on general sale from 10am local time on Friday (March 6). The other shows are on sale now.
The whol tour is billed as Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello, and will see Costello, The Imposters and Sexton playing his early material, from 1977's 'My Aim Is True' to 1986's 'Blood & Chocolate', with some surprises mixed in. In a previous statement announcing the initial dates, Costello said:
“For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago. Among them, ‘Radio Soul,’ the first draft of what eventually became ‘Radio Radio'. You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure.
"Don’t forget this show is “Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters”, an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new. They are nobody’s tribute band. The Imposters are a living, breathing, swooning, swinging, kicking and screaming rock and roll band who can turn their hands to a pretty ballad when the opportunity arises.”
Costello's most recent album is the 2024 collaborative record 'The Coward Brothers' with T Bone Burnett, which followed up his 2022 solo LP 'The Boy Named If'.
