The Beat are a British ska outfit hailing from Birmingham. Formed in 1978 and currently consisting of longtime frontman Ranking Roger and drummer Everett Morton alongside a band of talented musicians, The Beat have released three albums: 'I Just Can't Stop It', 'Wha'ppen?' and 'Special Beat Service'.
Best known for singles such as Mirror in the Bathroom, Too Nice To Talk To, Can't Get Used To Losing You, Hands off She's Mine and All Out To Get You, they’re easily one of the country’s favourite ska and new wave outfits, and still doing their thing today.
The Organisers of Slam Dunk Festival are set to deliver co-headline outdoor summer shows with The Beat, the Buzzcocks, The Selector, and Stiff Little Fingers, in Leeds, Hatfield and Birmingham this May.
