Pixies have confirmed the release of their next studio album.
'Beneath the Eyrie' features 12 new songs and is scheduled to arrive on September 13. It was written during 2018, recorded last December at Dreamland Recordings near Woodstock in New York and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety, who also helmed the band's 2016 record 'Head Carrier'.
The band have also shared the record's first single, On Graveyard Hill, which was co-written by vocalist Black Francis and bassist Paz Lenchantin. Check it out below, along with the album's artwork and tracklist.
The making of the record was documented and will be shared over the course of a 12-part podcast series titled It's a Pixies Podcast. It begins on June 27, with episodes being uploaded weekly until the album's release. Head here for more information.
The band will support the record with a world tour, including their first run of European dates in two years that begins on September 13 and features UK stops in Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, London, Glasgow and a number of other cities. Tickets are on sale now.
