Sam Fender has released details of his second studio LP.

The follow-up to 2019's 'Hypersonic Missiles' is called 'Seventeen Going Under' and will arrive on October 8 through Polydor Records.

Recorded in the singer-songwriter's hometown of North Shields and produced by Bramwell Bronte, the 11-song record is heralded by the newly shared title track.

Mirroring the introspective album's theme, the driving, Bruce Springsteen-esque ode to coming-of-age reflects on the trials and tribulations of growing up. Fender said:

"This album is a coming of age story. It’s about growing up. It’s a celebration of life after hardship, and it’s a celebration of surviving."

Fender, who recently dropped a cover of Metallica's Sad But True, will play Neighbourhood Weekender, Boardmasters and Isle of Wight Festival this summer.

The 27-year-old will then support The Killers on four of their UK and Irish dates in 2022 as part of their Imploding The Mirage Tour.

'Seventeen Going Under' tracklist:

1. Seventeen Going Under
2. Getting’ Started
3. Aye
4. Get You Down
5. Long Way Off
6. Spit Of You
7. Last To Make It Home
8. The Leveller
9. Mantra
10. Paradigms
11. The Dying Light
