Jimmy Eat World have announced a new EP.

'Something(s) Loud' will arrive through the band's own Exotic Location Recordings on November 14, and among its six tracks features the previously unreleased song Failure, which serves up laid-back, distorted guitars, reminiscent of Weezer.

Recorded during the sessions for their 2019 album, 'Surviving', Failure appears to be inspired by the '90s rock band of the same name. Ken Andrews, co-founder and vocalist of Failure and the engineer behind Jimmy Eat World's last two albums, posted a YouTube video the year 'Surviving' was released, explaining the track's mix.

The EP will also include the quartet's 2022 digital singles Something Loud and Place Your Debts, an acoustic version of Something Loud, a cover of Crooked Fingers' Call To Love featuring Bethany Cosentino, and a TW Walsh remix of Place Your Debts. Frontman Jim Adkins said:

"By 2021, it felt like distancing restrictions were finally easing and we could get back on the road. Our 'Surviving' album had barely been released before we were performing live again and reconnecting with fans. Coming out of the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to tour without offering something more, so we took the chance to share a few more tracks we’d been working on. At the time, it seemed like listeners were gravitating toward playlists rather than full albums, so we decided to meet them where they were."

'Something(s) Loud' tracklist:

1. Something Loud
2. Failure
3. Place Your Debts
4. Something Loud (Acoustic Version)
5. Call To Love (Feat. Bethany Cosentino)
6. Place Your Debts (TW Walsh Remix)
